Young star tackles ageing challenge
University medallist Shaun Yow has won the 2009 General Sir John Monash Award. He will head to the US to study the economics of ageing.
University medallist Shaun Yow has won the 2009 General Sir John Monash Award. He will head to the US to study the economics of ageing.
University medallist Shaun Yow has won the prestigious General Sir John Monash Award for 2009.
The award provides the opportunity to undertake higher study at a prestigious university in the US, UK or Europe.
Shaun plans to study for a PhD in economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US. His research will focus on the development of public policy for managing demographic change.
Shaun completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Actuarial studies) with first class honours at the Australian School of Business at UNSW in 2007.
He was a UNSW Co-op Scholar and recipient of the Ernst and Young Honours Scholarship and Goldman Sachs Global Leader award.
