In an increasingly competitive job market, postgraduate studies can provide the next step in career or personal development. The University of New South Wales is holding its annual Postgrad Week this month (September 24-27), showcasing the postgraduate degrees that put UNSW students in demand.

Visit Postgrad Week to see why UNSW’s postgraduates receive the highest median starting salaries in Australia, with 92% of postgraduate students in full-time jobs within three months of completing their degree (Australian Graduate Survey 2011).

Faculties will be hosting tailored information sessions, giving prospective postgraduate students the opportunity to discuss the programs on offer at UNSW. Full event details are available on the website.

Prospective students will have the opportunity to decide which program, study options and career paths are best suited to them, with academic and faculty staff on hand to discuss individual study requirements.

“In today’s competitive work environment, it is important to stand out from the crowd. UNSW’s flexible and career-focused programs allow students to gain specialist knowledge and skills,” says Shane Griffin, Director, Student Recruitment, Admissions and Scholarships.

This year, prospective students can listen to UNSW’s best and brightest PhD candidates from all faculties pitch their ideas in the annual 3-minute thesis competition.
