The MBAX offered by AGSM @ UNSW Business School has once again ranked among the best online MBA programs in the world in the influential QS 2019 Online MBA rankings.
AGSM's program ranked 6th in the competitive global field – up from 8th spot in 2018 – and first in Australia.
"The AGSM MBAX is now our most popular MBA program," Professor Nick Wailes, AGSM Director and Deputy Dean UNSW Business School said.
"Demand for online MBAs is on the rise because the new generation of leaders want flexible learning options and a curriculum that is contemporary and relevant for the realities of leadership in a fast-changing business landscape.
"The quality of the AGSM MBAX – and its graduates – demonstrates that we are providing a world-class learning experience that is preparing leaders to keep pace with progress," he said.
AGSM scored highest in aggregate class experience (100) and academic reputation (100) in the QS Online MBA rankings. Class experience is a newly introduced indicator defined by a series of inputs related to learning and support that students receive throughout their Online MBA experience.
"The MBAX course content and class experience is intentionally designed as an online learning experience and there are also interactive elements like discussion forums, short residentials, and group work through which students can build a professional network," Professor Wailes said.
"Students can customise their MBA experience so that it truly meets their needs."
AGSM also scored higher than the global average in all other indicators: class profile, employability, and faculty and teaching.
"Students appreciate the flexibility to build a bespoke MBA experience and tailor their learning experience so they can add immediate value to their work,” Professor Wailes said.
"Employers perceive value in leaders who are equipped to contribute to the organisation. They have confidence an MBA qualification equips managers and leaders to apply learning to challenges faced at work, providing confidence to make lasting organisational change."
Earlier this year, AGSM ranked 39th in the QS 2019 Global Full-Time MBA Ranking and 40th in the world for the QS Global Executive MBA Rankings.
