Behnoosh H Khalaj

I am a senior data scientist at the Centre for Big Data Research in Health. Prior to joining UNSW, I worked for almost 20 years in NSW Health system including Bureau of Health Information, Local Health Districts and NSW Ministry of Health. I managed many complex large-scale projects requiring advanced data analytics using health administrative and NSW patient experience survey datasets. Successful delivery of the projects required effective partnerships with stakeholders, formulating actionable insights and identifying opportunities for improving health care for patients. I also gained great knowledge and expertise about Covid 19 dataset, by managing analytics and reporting team at NSW Public Health Response Branch during the pandemic.

I have a Master of Biostatistics from University of Sydney and BSc and MSc of Statistics from University of Beheshti in Tehran-Iran.
