Clinical AI

In the last decade it has become clear that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies have the power to revolutionise complex decision-making processes, such as those required by the practice of Medicine.

At CBDRH, we develop, implement and evaluate AI technologies to aid in diagnosis, prognosis and treatment decisions to improve patient outcomes.  Our evaluation of AI technologies goes beyond measures of predictive performance, incorporating clinical consequences. We focus on AI technology that is feasible (technically, financially, and legally), as well as desirable (safe, effective, cost-saving and targeting the right problem at the right time). We also deliver a course intensive program on Clinical AI for our medical students, providing future doctors with the knowledge and tools they need to drive, critically appraise and implement AI solutions in Medicine.

Next-gen clinical registries: common data models, AI & cloud computing

We're creating and deploying a software framework (NextCR, comprising software code, documentation, training materials) that organisations can use to establish and operate highly secure, cloud-based next-generation clinical registries.
