I am from Indonesia and work for Forest Management Study Program, at Vocational College, Gadjah Mada University. I came to UNSW to study how genomic tools may provide significant information in managing wildlife populations. Apart from doing my PhD, I am also a full-time Dad.

Project: The invasion of Rusa deer across Oceania

Supervised by: Lee Ann Rollins (Primary); Neil R Jordan (Secondary)

Project Description: My project will focus on understanding the mechanisms of evolution and adaptation of widely introduced Rusa deer (Rusa timorensis). I will use genomic tools to provide reliable information for an effective management plan for this invasive species, which already harms the environment, and specifically in New Caledonia, has out-populated human population.
