Project Title: Characterising novel gene clusters to identify antimicrobial activity of marine bacteria
Project Description: My PhD involves investigating marine epiphytic bacteria associated with seaweed as a source of novel pharmaceuticals for the control of parasitic nematodes. My research focuses on identifying and characterising specific bacterial gene clusters, with the aim of understanding their function and elucidating their modes of action contributing to their nematode toxicity.
