I am leading the Asteroseismology Group. With a focus on stars, planets, and the Milky Way, we use asteroseismology -- vibrations from star quakes -- to infer the physical properties of stars. My group is leading the development of Artificial Intelligence software to analyse large complex data sets from NASA space missions like Kepler and TESS, extracting the intricate signatures of the stellar vibrational frequencies.

My main area of research is asteroseismology -- the study of stars through the interpretation of their oscillations -- which aims to understand stellar structure and evolution.
In particular, my interest and expertise are within:
- Automatic analysis software for big complex data sets incl. AI-methods
- Modelling stellar evolution and pulsation
- Solar-like oscillations
- Stellar clusters
- Red giant stars
- Observation and interpretation of stellar oscillations
