Lisa is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the ARC Centre for Next-Gen Architectural Manufacturing. She joined the Centre from UNSW Business School, where she received her PhD in Organisational Behaviour after pivoting from prior careers in primary healthcare and project management.

Lisa's research examines how expertise and authority are produced and sustained across levels of analysis, from the individual leader to the occupational group. At the macro level, she investigates the organisation and governance of professions, with a focus on architecture: how the profession defines and legitimates expert work, how competency standards are constructed and reviewed, and how futures and forecasting methods can inform strategic direction in the architecture, design, and engineering sector. At the micro level, she examines leadership and leader development, with particular attention to leader behaviours, how their expression varies across gender and cultural contexts, and how they can be cultivated through training.

She holds a BPharm from the University of Otago, a Master of Management (International Business) from Massey University, and a Master of Pre-Doctoral Business Studies from UNSW.
