Md Mustahsan Billah is a Scientia Ph.D. Scholar in the School of Medical Science, Faculty of Medicine, The University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He received a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) degree in Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology from Noakhali Science and Technology University, Bangladesh in 2013 and 2015 respectively. He has been serving as Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), Bangladesh since April 2017 and currently on study leave since September 2017 for pursuing his Ph.D. study. Before joining NSTU, he served as Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy, Dhaka International University (DIU), Bangladesh for more than two years. He has published over ten papers in reputed international journals including Nature Publishing Group. His current research focuses on the study of transgenerational inheritance of male obesity through the effects of grandpaternal obesity on grand-offspring (F2) metabolic and reproductive health and how these effects can be modified by post-weaning consumption of high-fat diet. This study also involves the study of a novel micronutrient supplement, provided to lean and obese founder males (F0), on the metabolic and reproductive health of their grand-offspring (F2).
Mr. Billah is keen to keep abreast of recent developments in Pharmacology and expand his research horizons and explore new approaches, techniques and experimental models in the field of Obesity and Diabetes.
