Oliver Lock
Postgraduate Research Student
Oliver Lock’s research involves the evaluation of interactive dashboard technologies and visualisations in enabling public-participation and engagement in transport and mobility related decision-making in cities.
It is proposed that innovative technologies, such as mobile apps, multi-touch screens and augmented reality headsets, will enable citizens to increasingly engage with future cities and transport within those cities.
Lock’s thesis, which is being supervised by Professor Christopher Pettit, Dr Simone Zarpelon Leao and Associate Professor Tomasz Bednarz, is titled ‘Using city dashboards for empowering citizens in the smart city’.
