Artwork title: Gunpoint Chicken

‘Gunpoint Chicken’ is based on an experience I had eating Korean fried chicken from Kokio’s in West Ryde. It was so GOOD I started to hallucinate and have visions of the chicken on my plate eating ME if I didn’t eat IT first. This is an interpretation of that experience...

I am a mixed race (Japanese/Fijian) interdisciplinary creative currently living and working on Gadigal Land. Within my work, I’m interested in investigating my heritage and bringing other kids like me with mixed backgrounds to the fore — by sharing their stories and experiences through artistic explorations. I like my projects to respond socially to historical moments unfolding in the world everyday. I like the colour green, in every shade.
