Constellate: Our Time and In Between (2022) is a showcase of student work from UNSW’s Bachelor of Media Arts program (soon to become the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation and Moving Image in 2023).

The showcase presents works by students across all year levels, representing the breadth and diversity of practices across animation, visual effects, moving image, sound, 3D visualisation, and interdisciplinary projects and installations. More than 70 student artworks are featured in the showcase, through both a campus-based festival and this online exhibition.

Developed through collaboration between staff and students, the showcase is envisaged like a campfire, where students, industry professionals and the wider community can gather to share, reshape and reinterpret stories and memories, as well as experience new narratives and perspectives spun from individual histories. This bond between people become the lines that we draw between stars in the sky. The School of Art & Design is proud to present Constellate: Our Time and In Between (2022) and to celebrate the creative achievements of the students involved. We hope you enjoy it.

Please be aware that some of the works featured engage with themes and imagery that may be confronting or cause distress.
