Ranked 70th in a field that includes the world’s best business schools, AGSM scores improved across most important indicators including salary, salary percentage increase three years after completing the MBA, value for money, career progression, alumni recommendation, percentage of female students, percentage of female faculty, percentage of international students, international course experience, international mobility, and corporate social responsibility.
AGSM ranked 7th in international mobility, calculated by alumni citizenship and the countries where they worked before their MBA, on graduation and three years after graduation.
“Enhancing global leadership capability has never been more important,” said Professor Nick Wailes, AGSM Director and Deputy Dean of the UNSW Business School. “AGSM ranked in the top 10 on international mobility – a 30% increase on last year’s metric,” said Professor Wailes. “This reflects not only the diverse backgrounds of the students we attract, but the diversity of thought and experience that thrives in our unique program,” he said.
“We have made very intentional choices about our programs to ensure we create a truly global MBA experience and equip future leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly complex world,” he said.
AGSM ranked 54th in the newly introduced corporate social responsibility metric that calculates the proportion of teaching hours from core courses dedicated to CSR, ethics, social and environmental issues.
“Whether our graduates pursue careers in the private, public or for-purpose sectors, we provide an outstanding career-focused education experience, unique international exchanges and study tours, and access to a diverse faculty and cohort, to prepare leaders to make a positive impact in an accelerating world,” said Professor Wailes.
The FT Rankings have strict entry criteria and are based on a two-part survey; one that evaluates alumni salary and experience on the program (59% of ranking), and the other, information about the school such as calibre of faculty, strength in research and diversity of cohort. The alumni surveyed this year were the 2015 Full-Time MBA cohort. For schools to be ranked, 20% of alumni must complete the survey. The FT 2019 Global MBA Rankings report can be found here.
