Ho Chi Minh City

4 January 2022 - 26 January 2022

Living and working overseas can be a life-changing experience. It allows you to experience another culture, expand your global network and give you a competitive advantage when it comes to securing a job after you graduate.

But did you know that you may be able to gain credit toward your degree if you choose to travel overseas?

Designed to provide you with a global understanding of the world of work, the Global Business Practicum (COMM5020)  is a unique opportunity to work on real business issues in an international organisation.

As part of the program, you will be placed in organisations such as international financial, marketing and technology corporations, and work in small teams as consultants on genuine business challenges. You will also have the opportunity to network with industry leaders and UNSW alumni, learn about local customs through an immersive cultural experience and connect with new friends at our partner university.

Applications for Summer, 2022 have now closed.

COVID-19 update

The UNSW Business School is closely monitoring the current global COVID-19 pandemic and following the university’s approach to maintain a considered, evidence-based position guided at all times by public health experts and government advice.

If border restrictions due to COVID-19 remain in place, the travel component for the Global Business Practicum Ho Chi Minh will not go ahead in 2022. However, a virtual experience will be delivered in Sydney. This virtual experience will offer remote engagement with your host company to complete projects, cultural activities, networking opportunities and most importantly, your progression won’t be impacted.

You’ll work as part of a cross-disciplinary team, with a real client on a live business problem. You’ll be supported throughout by an industry mentor, your lecturer and the Career Accelerator team.
