Welcome to our shared resources on software and data, which will help you take your research further. We offer these renewable energy research resources to help you find searchable databases, free software and publications. We update these resources periodically to ensure you stay up to date.

PV-manufacturing.org is a free online resource for Photovoltaic Scientists and Engineer about the manufacturing process of solar cells and latest trends in the field. It is used as text book at UNSW and other universities.

The PV Lighthouse website is a free online resource for Photovoltaic Scientists and Engineers. It provides calculators that simulate various aspects of solar cell operation, a library of refractive index data, links to photovoltaic software and more.

PC1D is a computer program written for IBM-compatible personal computers that solves the fully coupled nonlinear equations for the quasi-one-dimensional transport of electrons and holes in crystalline semiconductor devices. It has an emphasis on photovoltaic devices.

The p-n junction is the fundamental building block of the electronic age. Most electronic devices are made of silicon. By exploring the electrical properties of silicon, it’s possible to acquire an understanding of the inner workings of the p-n junction in solar cells.
