I come from an engineering background, and spent a fair bit of time in the IT sector, before I read Heidegger's 'Being and Time' - the combination of analytical rigor and what seemed to me a deep and heavy poetry of existence, appealed to my mind. I chose to take a break from my career and enrolled at Western Sydney University, for an MRes in philosophy. After completing that, I gradually made my way to UNSW, having read Hegel and hoping to bring him into conversation with Heidegger, especially with regards to the question of time.
