About
Deepak Tiwari is a filmmaker, sessional academic, and PhD researcher in Cultural Geography at UNSW Canberra, working at the intersection of geography, cinema, aesthetics, and philosophy. His work explores concepts such as composition, transition, and thinking through interdisciplinary frameworks, drawing on thinkers like Gilles Deleuze, Felix Guattari, Spinoza. His current focus is on composing a generative account of cinematic transformation, integrating theoretical rigor with empirical and aesthetic practice as geographical terrains of operation, circulation, and variation. He recently co-convened the session “New Geographies of the Image” at the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers 2025 Birmingham, UK.
