Dr Guy Hawkins
Research area and interest
I am a Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, Australia. I am interested in developing and testing computational and mathematical models of cognitive processes, in particular decision-making. Most of my research has focused on multi-alternative and multi-attribute decision-making, though see the list below for current and future directions. Feel free to contact me for further information about any of these projects.
Some current projects
Investigating the relationship between evidence evaluation and temporal cognition in decision making
Developing cognitive process models of consumer preference and discrete choice tasks
Investigating the impact of task-unrelated thoughts on decision-making
Developing new approaches for applying cognitive models to data
