Jamie-Lee is a PhD candidate in international relations at UNSW’s School of Social Sciences. Her PhD thesis is titled ‘Rising Above the Security Dilemma: Great Power Politics and China-Russia Cooperation in the 21st Century’ and is under the supervision of Dr Alexander Korolev and Associate Professor William Clapton. Her broader research interests include international relations theory and security studies as well as learning and teaching in higher education.

Jamie-Lee completed a Master of International Relations, with excellence, at UNSW in 2020. During this time, she served on the Academic Board Programs Committee, Faculty Board and Education Committee as the Arts Design and Architecture Postgraduate Student Representative. She completed a Bachelor of Education in 2010. In 2019 Jamie-Lee joined UNSW and currently works in the Academic Development Team, in the office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Education and Student Experience. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Jamie-Lee's area of research is international relations and security studies. Her PhD explores China-Russia relations and security dilemma mitigation. She also conducts research in learning and teaching within higher education.
