Martha Stokes is a PhD candidate in Environmental Communication at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. With a background in behaviour change, her work sits at the intersection of international research and practice, most recently with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Secretariat for the seventh Global Environment Outlook report (A Future We Choose), and with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Behaviour Change Task Force. Prior to this, Martha worked in consulting, supporting international clients across the private, public, and non-profit sectors on change management and innovation programmes. She holds degrees from the University of Cambridge (Natural Sciences MA), University of Edinburgh (Environment and Development MSc), and the Quantic School of Business and Technology (MBA), and is also a member of the International Behavioural Public Policy Association (IBPPA).
