My research is focussed on the history of groups and individuals in Australia who sought to construct relations of solidarity with Indonesia during the 20th century. Exploring the links built by left, progressive and community organisations, it aims to document alternative Australia-Indonesian relations and draw lessons for rebuilding people-to-people connections today.
