I am an Anglican Priest, with Theology Degrees from Durham University (UK) and University of Divinity (Aust). My professional background is as an accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor, specialising in CBT, EMDR and Existential-Phenomenological Therapy, which I practised in the UK. I also have a background in Church Music, and a practical interest in Musical Theatre.

Robert Bridges' theory and practice of the hymn. The English poet, Robert Bridges, co-edited the Yattendon Hymnal in 1899, in which he aimed to implement his strongly held views on church hymnody. My research explores his theories in this important historic period of the hymn, how effective he was in putting his theories into practice, and his influence on subsequent hymn development.
