Shaozhi Pi is a PhD student at UNSW working at the intersection of AI, music, and interactive systems. He holds an M.S. in Operations Research from the University of Southern California and a B.Eng. in Electronic Information Engineering from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. His research combines technical system design with creative practice, with a current focus on real-time music generation for video games. He is particularly interested in controllability, human–AI co-creation, and composer-centred interactive workflows.
