I am a classically trained pianist with over 16 years of experience in one-to-one piano teaching. I previously held academic teaching positions as a Lecturer in Piano Performance at the Australian Institute of Music and also taught at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts. I have 27 years of performance experience, including appearances at the Sydney Opera House. My performance background informs my approach to musical interpretation and piano pedagogy. My doctoral research at the UNSW focuses on parent and teacher perspectives in cross-cultural piano teaching. I am developing expertise in qualitative research methods, including semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis.
