The School of Clinical Medicine encompasses four Sydney metropolitan campuses and five rural NSW locations. Our campuses are hubs that connect health practitioners, students and academics. As a student, you’ll gain first-hand clinical experience and take part in ground-breaking research.
The clinical campuses work closely with local health districts and clinical services, our conjoint and adjuncts in those locations, and medical research institutes to further develop our teaching and research programs. These are crucial partnerships for both the school and the faculty.
Further information and links to new clinical campus websites will become available as the school transitions to these new arrangements.
The School of Clinical Medicine is located on the unceded territory of the Bidjigal (Randwick Campuses), Gadigal (St Vincent's Campus), Gweagal (St George & Sutherland Campuses), Darug and Dharawal (South West Sydney Campus), Wiradjuri (Albury, Wagga Wagga & Griffith), Birpai (Port Macquarie) and Gumbaynggirr (Coffs Harbour). We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands, seas and waters where each campus of UNSW is situated.
We believe that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership and culture must be front and centre when considering the healthcare needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As such, it is a fundamental aspect of our education and research.
The Randwick Clinical Campus is a key partner in the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct, set to become the largest co-located health precinct in NSW. It incorporates three teaching hospitals: Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women.
The St Vincent’s Healthcare Clinical Campus encompasses the clinical facilities on the St Vincent’s Darlinghurst campus and the co-located research institutes and facilities. These include the Garvan Institute, Victor Chang Institute and St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research.
The Rural Clinical Campuses brings world-class medical education to rural Australia, allowing students to undertake their full medical program at rural campuses in several locations. The school has campuses in Albury, Coffs Harbour, Griffith, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga.
The South West Sydney Clinical Campuses comprise the UNSW efforts at Liverpool, Bankstown, Campbelltown, Fairfield and Braeside in the south west of Sydney. We work closely with local clinical facilities and the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research.
The St George and Sutherland Clinical Campuses work closely with the hospitals at these locations and with the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation. Together they deliver and build the teaching and research contributions of UNSW in the region.
