Indigenous entry into the School of Population Health postgraduate coursework programs

The Indigenous Entry into programs in the School of Population Health at UNSW redresses the imbalance of access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to population health programs.

The scheme is competitive and students who best meet the selection criteria, outlined below, will be considered under the alternate entry scheme and have access to a Commonwealth Support Place (CSP). The scheme is open to those who meet the criteria listed below. 

    • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
    • An undergraduate degree in a field relevant to public health or health management and two years full-time professional or volunteer experience OR an honours or postgraduate degree in a field relevant to public health or health management OR extensive professional health or public health experience but does not hold a formal qualification in a relevant discipline.
    • Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Applicants will be selected using the following criteria:
    • Demonstrable interest in public health and/or health leadership and management.
    • Relevant educational and/or professional experience in public health or health service delivery.
