Partial differential equations on spheres have many applications in weather forecasting, geography and meteorology. In this talk, I will outline methods of approximation and error
estimates in the L^2(S^n), L^infinity(S^n) and Sobolev norms for an elliptic PDE and the heat equation on spheres.
