Vacation Scholarships in Mathematics

The School of Mathematics at The University of New South Wales invites applications from undergraduate students wishing to take part in research activites in the School during the summer vacation 2004-2005.

Vacation Research Scholarships are intended for students who are currently enrolled in third year mathematics or statistics and who are interested in further study. Scholarships may also be available for exceptional second year students.

Vacation Scholars will have the opportunity of seeing how research in mathematics is pursued, its application to important problems and the vital part it plays in today's world. Each scholar will work closely with a member of staff and will be tackling a problem of current interest.
