APA Supplement in Mathematical Biology

An APA top-up Scholarship is available for a student commencing a PhD in the area of mathematical biology. Students with an undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline and an interest in biology, or in a biomedical discipline with some training and interest in a quantitative area, are encouraged to apply.The available biomathematics projects are concerned with modelling within host dynamics of infectious diseases, in particular HIV and hepatitis B and C, and their epidemiology. Projects would involve collaboration with researchers at the National Centre in HIV Epidemiology and Clinical Research (NCHECR), or other Australian or international research centres.
