Two Risk Analysis grants to UNSW Mathematics

The newly established Australian Centre of Excellence for Risk Analysis (ACERA) has awarded two of its initial short-term grants to UNSW Mathematics. They are:
New spatial analysis methods for improved hazard/risk identification
Prof. Matt Wand, UNSW, Dr Brendan Wintle, Dr Jane Elith, University of Melbourne, Dr Daniela Leonte, UNSW ($50,000)
Evaluating frameworks for dealing with low probability - high consequence events
A/Prof. James Franklin, Dr Scott Sisson, UNSW ($33,000)
