
UNSW Architecture student Manus Leung has recently been announced as the student winner of the 2010 Boral Design Awards.
The design contest set a challenge to entrants to respond to Australia’s changing housing needs and reduced land sizes with focus on adaptability, sustainability and affordability by designing a detached residential dwelling with a floor area of 125m² along with its landscape.
This year the Boral Design Award received close to 100 entries, all who responded to a brief to design a detached residential dwelling with a floor area of 125sqm, along with its landscape. First prize in the professional category garnered a prize of $20,000, second prize was $10,000 and the winner of the student category collected $4,000.
