The western Sydney suburb of Bonnyrigg is going through major renewal works over the next decade and a half to transform it from a predominantly public housing estate to a multi-tenured neighbourhood. City Futures Research Centre has been commissioned by Newleaf Communities, the public-private partnership responsible for the renewal of Bonnyrigg, to conduct a longitudinal study which tracks the people-based outcomes of a community experiencing neighbourhood transition. This longitudinal study will involve interviews with 60 families annually, with the first phase of this study commencing in June 2011 and concluding in mid-2015. This five year Research Project will bring in an income of $250.396.00.’
