Prof. Boris Mordukhovich visits the School

The School of Mathematics and Statistics is pleased to host Professor Boris Mordukhovich, currently visiting from Wayne State University, USA.
Prof. Mordukhovich is noted for his research in the areas of nonlinear analysis, optimization, and control theory. Mordukhovich is one of the founders of modern variational analysis and generalized differentiation. He is Distinguished University Professor at Wayne State University, a SIAM Fellow and has received many international awards and honours.
Prof. Mordukhovich is a Partner Investigator in an ARC funded Discovery Project, together with Prof. Jeya Jeyakumar and Dr Guoyin Li. During his time at UNSW he presented an interesting seminar on "New developments and applications of variational analysis".
