Built Environment students Rachel Cogger and Rodney Jensen have been recognized at the Planning Institute of Australia’s NSW Division Awards for Excellence.

The 2011 NSW Awards were presented at a gala dinner which was held on World Town Planning Day, 8th November.

The PIA notes that the program “Recognizes innovation, leadership and excellence in the planning profession and stimulates the public awareness of excellent projects and emphasizes the importance of good planning in the community.”

Rachel Cogger was awarded the Outstanding Student Project for her project entitled: ‘The urban symphony: Are you Listening?’

Rodney Jensen and Associates received a commendation in the Promotion of Planning category for their work on: Heyday of Wentworth: the town on two rivers
