30 participants from seven schools joined the School's annual Girls Do The Maths workshop on Friday 18th May. The workshop aims to provide an overview to female year 12 students about potential career directions involving mathematics and statistics.

This year's workshop featured talks by Dr Lisa Alexander of the Climate Change Research Centre, Sharon Wang from MLC - National Australia Bank and Mr Randell Heyman who has studied and tutored in the School.

Presentations by School members were very popular with the students, who cited Robert Womersley's talk on courses, degrees and careers and Sally Galbraith's talk on scholarships as highlights of the day’s program.

Please see the Girls Do The Maths webpage for more information about the workshop.
