Helmets and cycleways - the numbers tell the safety story

Research by Dr Jake Olivier, Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, has been picked up by the media, including some radio interviews and an opinion piece in the National Times.
"There's no doubt now that greater spending on cycling infrastructure and mandatory helmets have jointly delivered major benefits on two fronts – fewer cycling injuries, particularly head injuries, and more people enjoying the health benefits of safe cycling."
