Congratulations to Quincy Wong, who was awarded one of the 2012 Awards for an Excellent PhD Thesis from the Australian Psychological Society for his thesis entitled The Role of Ruminative Thinking in Social Phobia.

This award acknowledges and rewards outstanding research by postgraduate students in psychology.

Quincy will receive a grant of $1000 and will be invited (and funded) to attend the APS’ annual conference to receive his award.

Quincy also received the 2012 APS College of Clinical Psychologists Student Prize for UNSW.Quincy’s PhD was supervised by A/Prof Michelle Moulds.

Quincy is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Macquarie University and is funded by an Australian Clinical Fellowship from the NHMRC.
