Prof Chris Tinney, head of the Exoplanets at UNSW group, has been awarded UNSW's largest single grant in the most recent ARC Discovery round. As well as a Discovery Outstanding Research Award, funding was received for a post-doctoral fellow to carry out a search for low-mass planets orbiting in the habitable zones of nearby low-mass, M dwarf stars using UNSW's CYCLOPS2 facility on the Anglo-Australian Telescope.
