The School is delighted to announce that Trevor McDougall has been appointed a Scientia Professor.
Trevor McDougall joined the School in April this year, as Professor of Applied Mathematics. As one of the world's most eminent oceanographers, Trevor's appointment within the School attracted media attention. He is one of the world's leading research mathematicians on Ocean Mixing Processes, and is one of Australia's most awarded scientists. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of London in recognition of his research.
"Scientia Professor" is a special category of Professor at UNSW which recognises outstanding research performance. The award of a Scientia Professorship is based on recognition of past research eminence and ongoing research potential.
Congratulations to Trevor.
