QS World University Rankings 2013: UNSW Mathematics & Statistics in top 40

The recently released QS World University Rankings for 2013 place UNSW Mathematics and Statistics in the top 40 of universities worldwide.
Mathematics ranked at 39th overall, while Statistics ranked 38th, up from our 2012 performance (Mathematics: 44; Statistics: 41).
QS World University Rankings claims to be the most widely read university comparison of its kind. QS World University Rankings by Subject, now in its 3rd year, reveals the top 200 universities in the world for 30 individual subjects.
UNSW was among five Australian universities in the top 50 of the two categories, indicating the region's strength in these disciplines.
