6. Access
• From Kansai International Airport
From the Terminal 1 Building (Intenational arrivals), go to the bus stop No.9, outside the 1st floor of the Terminal 1 Bldg. Limousine buses to Nara depart from here every 1 hour (about 80 minutes to Kintetsu Nara station, 85 minutes to JR Nara station. Bus fare: JPY 1,200 per a person). Tickets can be purchased from the ticket vending machines located outside the 1st floor of the building.

• From Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport)
Go to the Domestic Passenger Terminal from International Terminal. Take a domestic flight to Osaka Itami Airport or Kansai International Airport. From either of the airports, take a limousine bus to Nara. At Osaka Itami Airport, go to the bus stop No.0 or No.10. It takes about 65 minutes to Kintetsu Nara station and 75 minutes to JR Nara station. Bus fare is JPY 1,440 per a person.

• From Narita International Airport
(1) By Airplane and bus
Airport limousine bus leads you to Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport) (about 75 minutes, Bus fare: JPY 3,000 per a person). Fly from Haneda Aiport to Osaka Itami Airport or Kansai International Airport. From either of the airports, take a limousine bus to Nara (see above).
(It is possible to fly from Narita to Osaka Itami Airport directly - but, the number of flights is limited.)
(2) By Trains
The Narita Express (N'EX) takes you from Narita Airport to Tokyo station in 53 minutes. From Tokyo station, take the Tokaido Shinkansen "Nozomi" and get off at Kyoto station (140 minutes). Take Kin-tetsu railway or Japan railway (JR) from Kyoto to Nara. Both Kintetsu limited express and JR Miyakoji rapid trains operate every 30 minutes between Kyoto Station and JR Nara Station.
7．Abstract submission

Registration is required before abstract submission. Please go to the website (http://www.origin-life.gr.jp/origins2014/), click the tab "Registration", and click “Go to Abstract submission System” (https://amarys-jtb.jp/origins201407).
Please read "Instructions for Preparation of Abstracts" in the website before abstract submission. Abstracts must be submitted in A4 size format (210 x 297 mm), one-page PDF file. Authors are requested to choose Oral/Poster presentation and the most relevant topic from the topic list in the website. The abstract template is downloadable from the website. Multiple abstract submissions are allowed for the authors who pre-registered. After completion of the abstract review, the decision of acceptance will be notified to the authors by the end of April.
The journal Origins of Life and Evolution of the Biosphere (OLEB) will have a special Issue for the manuscripts presented at the conference that will be peer-reviewed by an appointed Editorial Committee.
8．Excursion
• Wednesday afternoon
The afternoon of Wednesday July 9th will be free to take a mid-week break from the conference. You can walk to most of the major sightseeing sites, or take Nara Kotsu Bus (Adults 180 yen, The City Route Look runs every 30 minutes) without reservation.
For those who are interested in Kyoto and/or Osaka sightseeing, online reservation for the optional tour will be open from January 10, 2014.
• Accompanying persons tours during conference
Several tours and activities for accompanying persons will be offered during the Conference. Online reservation will be open from January 10, 2014.
