John Murray
Today, Professor John Murray celebrates 31 years at UNSW!

He says "Why celebrate 31 years? I may not be prime but it is!".

Professor Murray received his B Sc (hons), Applied Mathematics at UNSW in 1976. He then went on to do his M Sc in Applied Mathematics here, before completing his PhD in Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington, Seattle in 1984.

Professor Murray's research covers mathematical modelling of infectious diseases and the complex dynamical systems of their interaction in vivo with the immune system, as well as the epidemiology of their spread through communities. He collaborates with biomedical groups in Australia and overseas, particularly related to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus (HBV), and hepatitis C virus (HCV).

Congratulations to John for this milestone! Wishing him the all best for his coming years at UNSW.
