Welcome First Year Students!

We hope you are excited to begin your degree at the Faculty of Built Environment and UNSW Australia.

UNSW O-Week starts next week! The Built Environment official welcome for undergraduate students will be held on Monday, February 23. The postgraduate welcome will be held on Wednesday, February 25. Come along to find out important information about our faculty and your degree. You can find the full details here.

There are also plenty of other social events, major attractions, freebies and much more happening throughout the week. Visit the UNSW O-Week website to see what's on.

Dean, Professor Alec Tzannes AM has prepared a short video to welcome you to the 2015 academic year.

To help you settle in from high school, a gap year, a different university or degree, the Built Environment Student Association (BESA) is running a Pilot Peer Mentoring Program for Faculty of Built Environment undergraduate first year students.

Run by students for students, the aim of this student development program is to assist you with your transition into your degree at UNSW by providing you with a trained senior Built Environment student who will be your mentor.

As a mentee, you will be designated a mentor in a group of other first year students where you will be able to meet fellow Built Environment students, get any of your uni-related questions answered, and be first in the know about faculty and society events. This program will be for 1-2 hours each week from Weeks 1 to 8 of Semester 1, 2015.

If you are interested in being a mentee in this pilot program, please fill your details in the registration form. From there, you will be sent a confirmation email to confirm your spot in the program and an invite to the first peer mentoring event.

UNSW Built Environment look forward to welcoming you to our faculty and sharing this exciting new journey with you!
