Mikala Dwyer wins Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize 2015

Master of Fine Arts graduate Mikala Dwyer has won the Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize 2015 for an established artist.
Dwyer will take home $25,000 for her work Untitled (2014), an “empty sculpture”. Coen Young was awarded a $10,000 prize in the emerging artists category for his work Study for a Mirror 1, Study for a Mirror 2 (2015). Both winning works will become part of Redlands’ permanent collection.
The finalists exhibition is on at NAS Gallery from 26 March – 23 May and features work by 22 artists including UNSW Art & Design staff and alumni such as Hany Armanious, Dennis del Favero, Shaun Gladwell, Claire Healy & Sean Cordiero and Fiona Lowry.
