Applications are now open for the 2015 Anita Prabhu Women Leaders in Business Award. The winner will be featured across the UNSW website and communications, be recognised at the UNSW Business School annual awards ceremony and will receive a $2000 cash prize.

Female AGSM graduates and final year students are encouraged to apply for the 2015 Anita Prabhu Women Leaders in Business Award. Applications are now open until 30 April.

Anita Prabhu (MBA Exec ’05) established the Anita Prabhu Women Leaders in Business Award to recognise and celebrate a successful business woman and AGSM graduate each year.

Past winners of the award include:

  • Anneke van den Broek (MBA Exec ’02) founder of pet product supplier, Rufus & Coco
  • Emma Lo Russo (MBA Exec ’13), CEO and co-founder of digital analytics company, Digivizer
  • Maria Ioia (MBA Exec ’12), Director of the Market Intelligence Agency

The award is open to female AGSM graduates and final year students who work in a management role, or who run their own businesses. Applicants are judged on a short written application that asks about leadership achievements and examples in implementing new business ideas or best-practices.

While winners to date have founded their own businesses, women who work in management roles within organisations are also strongly encouraged to apply.

"It was an honour to be awarded the Women Leaders in Business Award in recognition of founding and building a successful consultancy business," says 2014 prize winner, Maria Ioia.

Maria's company, Market Intelligence Agency works with businesses to assist them in developing a strong marketing strategy.

“I encourage all female AGSM graduates, whether running their own businesses or working as managers to apply,” says Maria.

“Don’t hesitate to put yourself forward and be recognised for your talents.”
