Our Professor Herbert Huppert joined Minister for Communications Malcolm Turnbull, new UNSW Vice-Chancellor Ian Jacobs and businessperson Sam Mostyn at the Risky Business Panel Discussion and Q&A hosted last Thursday by UNSW Science, with leading ABC science journalist Robyn Williams as MC.
An audience of more than 500 gathered in the Science Theatre for a wide-ranging conversation and debate with the four panellists.
Topics canvassed border protection and terrorism, media bias, fossil fuel divestment by universities, housing shortages in Sydney, new data retention laws and Australia’s contribution to carbon dioxide emissions.
