Lecturer John (Hobart) Hughes has won the 2015 Chippendale New World Art Prize with his multidisciplinary video installation Hole in the Sky (2015).

Hughes will partake in a three month, $10,000 residency at the Ionian Centre for the Arts and Culture on the Greek island of Kefalonia.

The Chippendale New World Art Prize exhibition features work from 38 artists and will run until Saturday 2nd May across three locations in Chippendale- the NG Art Gallery, the Carlton Project Space, and X88 Gallery.
