Congratulations to CIES Research Associate – Dr Farhad Aslani who has been awarded the 2015 National Engineering Bursary from the Concrete Institute of Australia!
The Institute’s judging panel unanimously selected Dr Aslani’s thesis “Experimental and Numerical Study of Time Dependent Behaviour of Reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete Slabs” as the winner of the 2015 National Engineering Bursary.
As a result of this award, Dr Aslani has been invited to present his paper at the Institute’s Conference in September and will also be featured in the official Conference Proceedings.
The conference, Concrete 2015, is being held in Melbourne at the Pullman Hotel from 30th August to the 2nd September and is also being held in conjunction with the 69th RILEM Week
In being awarded the 2015 National Engineering Bursary, Dr Aslani also receives a cash prize of $2,500; Registration, accommodation and fares to attend the Biennial Conference; as well as the publishing of the paper in “Concrete in Australia” magazine late in 2015
