Last Thursday 11 June we hosted the second annual Postgraduate Conference. The one-day event, featuring a packed schedule of presentations and the debut of a research poster competition, was held in UNSW's Colombo Theatres and attracted 80+ attendees.
The conference, initiated by Postgraduate Research Director Professor David Warton, followed on from last October's vibrant inaugural event. This year continued in a similar style, with an impressive line-up of presentations displaying the diverse and innovative research radiating from our Postgraduate cohort.
The lengthier plenary talks were delivered at intervals throughout the day, and following the lunch break several students each gave a one-minute poster pitch in Colombo Theatre A.
The day culminated in a prize-giving for the standout students of the day, as judged by a panel of staff members (winners listed below). Students and attendees then headed to the White House for an after-party celebration.
A big congratulations to David Warton for another successful event, and for the wonderful efforts of this year's organising team: Veronica Li, Houying Zhu, Xin Lei and Eric Kwok.
